Complete Yacht Transport Preparation
Moving a boat over the road is hard on it. Wind, road grit, strap pressure, and low bridges all work against a finished hull. We prepare your yacht for the trip, from measuring transport height to the moment it's strapped down and handed to your licensed transporter.

WHY CHOOSE US?

Who Handles What Section
What Ocean Breeze handles
Assessment and measurement, removal and packing of anything above the transport profile, anti-chafe padding, transport-grade shrink wrap, and supervised loading. Photos at every stage.
What your transporter handles
The truck, trailer, route, permits, escorts, and transit insurance. We coordinate with them and the yard's crane crew so the boat is ready when the truck arrives. Need a hauler? We can point you to ones we've worked with.
The Process
How we prepare a yacht for transport
Yacht transport preparation has five stages: a pre-transport assessment to measure height and beam, removal of anything above the transport profile, anti-chafe padding at every contact point, a full transport-grade shrink wrap, and supervised loading onto the trailer before handoff to the transporter.
Pre-transport assessment
Measure height, beam, and every protruding component against the route limits. Build the removal list and timeline. Photograph the vessel as received.
Equipment removal & labeling
Only what has to come off. Hardtop, antennas, radar, outriggers, canvas, rails. Each piece photographed, labeled, wrapped, inventoried. Open mounts and cable ends capped.
Anti-chafe protection
Padding and barriers at every point straps, film, or framing could rub: corners, rails, hardware, windshields, finished surfaces. Nothing adhered to paint.
Transport-grade shrink wrap
A fitted enclosure built for highway airflow. Support structure where needed, reinforced stress points, vents and access, outboards wrapped individually.
Loading & handoff
Coordinate positioning with the yard and crane crew, watch clearance through the lift, check cradle and trailer placement, final photo set, hand to the hauler.
Pre-transport assessment
Measure height, beam, and every protruding component against the route limits. Build the removal list and timeline. Photograph the vessel as received.
Service Area
Based in Palm Beach Gardens. We work out of our own yard and partner yards across Palm Beach County.
Boats we prepare
Outboard center consoles, sportfish, and cruisers. Interstate or across the county, the prep work is the same. Longer routes usually mean stricter height limits, so start the conversation early.

Questions owners and captains ask
Anything that pushes the boat over legal transport height or width, or that would be damaged by highway wind. On most center consoles that means the hardtop and everything mounted to it. We measure first and remove only what the route requires.
With padding and anti-chafe barriers at every point where straps, film, or framing make contact, then a transport-grade shrink wrap over the whole vessel.
We coordinate with them. Transport is done by a licensed hauler and lifts are done by the yard's crane crew. We schedule around both and supervise the load.
Yes. Hull, deck, console, and outboards get a fitted enclosure secured for highway speed, with vents and access points where needed.
The transporter sets the legal limits for the route. We measure the boat, tell you what it takes to get under that number, and do the removal work. Final height is confirmed on the trailer.
Make, model, length, beam, approximate height, where the boat is now, where it's going, the target date, what you know needs to come off, a few photos, and whether you've booked a transporter.
